Di-Anne Elise

Di-Anne grew up in a Christian home with a loving family. She had many aspirations and never felt anything was holding back until one day a friend of the family spoke lies into her life and she believed them. It was then that her life took a turn from a bright future to a life of suffering and despair.

In her young adulthood, Di-Anne met what she thought her love her life only to find herself in an abusive relationship. She married a man that was eight years her senior at the young age of 23. The first few years seemed like a dream come true, but not long after being pregnant with her first daughter started realizing that something was very wrong with her marriage. Not having much life experience, she ignored it and thought it was the new normal. After her first daughter she had three more daughters and her situation became worse and worse as time went by.

As children grew older the verbal abuse and the control factor became intolerable to the point that she fell in a depression. The abuse lasted 21 years.  Not knowing what to do, being far away from God, she felt trapped and she had a breakdown that led to crying out for help to God. In the desperation of trying to save herself if not for her but for her four beautiful daughters she prayed and asked God to lead her. One day she got the courage to take her children and only her personal belongings and move with her mom. She left everything behind, divorced, and started a new life with nothing.

Years before her divorce Di-Anne met Stacey, founder of Destined to Be Free and became friends. Not knowing that they had a lot in common, they started sharing experiences and she expressed that she had been abused. At this point in Di-Anne’s life she was not facing the fact that she also was an abused woman. Stacey spoke about her life and they started speaking about how everyone could be free of bondage, abuse, depression, and oppression through Jesus Christ. Through conversations and prayer, they told each other that an organization should be formed to help people heal and help them restore their lives. Not knowing that she was going to be part of this organization because of her journey she gave Stacey her support.

When Di-Anne got the courage to share her story of abuse and despair with Stacey, they both came up with the name of this wonderful organization not knowing that she would be part of it someday. After many years later, Stacey founded Destined to be Free and asked DI-Anne to join in her efforts and she gratefully accepted.

Because of Jesus Christ leading her in her journey now Di-Anne has found joy in Christ, has a successful career, and has accomplished much success.

“Di-Anne’s passion is to empower people to reach their highest potential through Christ Jesus.”
