From childhood, all the way to her early twenties, Stacey’s life included being beaten with various items;  was told that she would never achieve anything in life;  constant negative and painful words spoken over her life; living with a grandmother who operated in demonic activities; molested by her mom’s boyfriend; had two abortions and was never her mom’s main priority, at times having to go to school without lunch money shaped her into having a negative and poverty mindset and having a need to always wanting to fit in, feel loved and needed. 

Three years after giving birth to her son and walking away from the one person who really loved her (Her son’s father); because she didn’t know how to embrace and receive love from him;  Stacey wanted to make a change but unfortunately, she landed in a physically abusive relationship for 10 months, a verbally abusive marriage which lasted for 14 years; ended up with several near misses from being homeless and became constantly sick and health deteriorating due to massive trauma. 

Now living as a single mom with two children and making the decision to do whatever it took to keep a roof over her children’s head and to provide the best way she could for them became her life.  Nothing else mattered.  Until that day when she found out that her son was also abused which changed everything for her. 

 In August 2013 during prayer and meditation; Stacey had an urge that she needed to find a way to assist other individuals who have endured or currently living with abuse.  This was the beginning of Destined To Be Free a domestic violence awareness organization.  The Organization is where she can not only share her story but assist others who are in need; bringing awareness to the various types of abuse.

It became obvious that physical abuse was the only type of abuse people had knowledge of and not realizing that there are several other types of abuse, which is just as bad as physical abuse. Verbal abuse strips everything about who you are;  it hurts like hell, you lose yourself, your self-esteem, self-worth which was what Stacey endured the most.

If it was not for the help of God and great friends, Stacey and her children would not be here today. She is destined to be free and is determined to bring awareness and help others learn how to become free; how to begin taking the steps needed to becoming healed and aiding in the restoration of their lives.

No One,  No Woman, No Child, No man deserves to experience any form of abuse;  deserves to be homeless, deserves to not know where the next meal is coming from, not know how they will be able to help their children. It’s time to make a difference.

Stacey is a chosen vessel called by God to make a mark and footprint for the Kingdom of God to let others know that Jesus chose them and love them.

Her love for events and administration combined with her spiritual gifts of Shepherding, Mercy, Service, Leadership, Faith, and Discernment has led her to form The Destined To Be Free Organization.
